Plum provides an integrated superannuation solution to corporate Clients in the Australian superannuation environment. These services are either provided as a 'stand-alone' or master trust basis and include Plan Management (Member and Client Services), Education, Advice and Investments. The role of Business Analyst (BA) - Change and Technical Services is to enhance the general business analyst skills across the BA team and to undertake analysis and resolution of complex issues identified in the business areas of Plum. This BA will work with Plum Management and Team Leaders - Implementation of major projects, Transitions, Plan Changes, Enhancements and Continuous Improvement initiatives. Accountabilities include but are not limited to: - Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources. Decompose high-level information into details and build on low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
- Proactively communicate and collaborate with Plum's external and internal customers to analyse information needs and functional requirements and deliver the following, as needed: Business Requirements Document, Use Cases, Screen and Interface designs and work collaboratively to develop Job Aids
- Work independently with users to define concepts, and under direction of project managers develop required documentation
- Drive and challenge business units on their assumptions of how to execute plans
- Serve as the conduit between the customer, both internal and external customers of Plum and occasionally software development teams
- Develop requirements specifications according to standard templates, using language readily understood by all stakeholders
- Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyse tradeoffs between usability and performance needs.
To be successful in this role you will have: - Knowledge of Defined Benefits processing
- Working knowledge of the Superb operating system
- Demonstrate an understanding of identifying, assessing and escalating risks according to a Risk Management framework
- Minimum 3 years experience as a Business Analyst within the Superannuation industry with some time spent on transitioning new clients into an existing business
- Strong analytical and product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements
- Be able to multi task by successfully engaging in multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group including executives and managers
