Westpac's new strategic focus is on risk management, and ensuring that risk is everyone's business! The Market Risk Manager is newly created role and will be a key member of Westpac's Market Risk team. As a whole we oversee all market risk liquidity, funding risks and dealing room credit risk. Reporting to the Head of Market Risk you will be joining a small, dynamic team. This is a busy and challenging role in a dynamic and fast paced environment. You will bring that unique blend of technical savvy and an engaging communication style. Your consultative style and ability to support your stand will be well utilised in building relationships across the bank. A solid background in banking ideally with market risk banking exposure will enable you to quickly understand and identify emerging risks and develop projects and timelines to address these. This is a visible role at an executive level and presents an opportunity to make it your own and succeed. Key Deliverables: Robust oversight of, and reporting on financial market and treasury risks Identification of emerging risks Positive contribution to risk governance frameworks, business goals and promoting understanding of risk reward.
