Position Responsibilities

The Technical Consultant, within the Professional Services team, will be responsible for the scripting of interfaces, data conversions, and other types of utility programming as needed by SunGard’s clients and in support of other members of the Professional Services team. In this position the consultant will combine technical knowledge and expertise in certified 3rd party products with specific domain knowledge of Asset Arena products and solutions.

 Create interfaces to and from Asset Arena products using standard and propriety tools and languages
 Install and Configure Asset Arena software and associated 3rd party software for our clients
 Perform data conversations into and out of Asset Arena products using standard and propriety tools and languages
 Create utility applications as needed for Asset Arena clients and to support Professional Services projects
 Perform process automation and orchestration using various tools, adapters, APIs and scripting languages.
 Work closely with other Asset Arena Technical Support and Development staff.
 Identify opportunities to deliver further solutions and contract further work with existing clients.

Position Requirements

 3 -5 years of technology/services/solution consulting experience.
 Working knowledge of scripting languages such as KSH and Python
 Working knowledge of ETL tools such as Informatica or Pentaho / Kettle
 Java and / or .Net Programming experience
 Strong experience dealing with commercial software products and their deployments.
 Significant deployment and consulting experience with BEA’s WebLogic, IBM’s WebSphere Application Server and Apache Tomcat.
 Platform expertise on Red Hat’s Enterprise Linux and Microsoft’s Windows 2008.
 Working knowledge of Sybase ASE and Oracle 11g database servers including SQL and Stored Procedures.
 Strong foundation in the delivery of best practices, methodology and tools.
 Demonstrated ability to problem solve creatively and quickly under pressure.
 Demonstrated ability to manage independently within challenging client environments and situations.
 Strong written and oral communication and client facing skills.
 Technical / Financial College Degree / Certifications preferred.
