Position Description
We are looking to hire a new developer to the Application / Workflow group. The group consists of 10 developers and your primary focus will be on application development and technical solutions, but you will also need to understand the business requirements. As a member of the team you will primarily be working with:
• Design and development of new functionality
• Refactoring of existing functionality
• Maintenance of existing functionality
• Maintainability of the solution in the form of automated tests
• Internal support for other functions within the company Position Requirements
We are looking for candidates who possess a solid academic background in software engineering, and who ideally already have some practical development experience, preferably from application development. Thoroughness and a willingness to learn are of great importance, as well as an ability to focus on quality and results.
You need to be skilled in C/C++, and be familiar with basic software development concepts like client/server, object oriented programming, etc. Any experience of Python would be a bonus. Technologies and tools used also include WinAPI, MFC, WTL, COM and Visual Studio. Most of all, you need to have a genuine interest in working with software development. But we also consider it a plus if you have a keen interest in mathematics and the financial business.
Previous experience of SCRUM, agile development, automated tests and a keen interest in mentoring others is an advantage.
