Sr. Project Manager Role Description
Responsible for the management of Commercial Card - Customer service programs, program teams and associated projects from initiation through implementation, Provides overall direction for project requirements, priorities and deadlines. This is a hands on role that includes definition of roles and responsibilities, Allocates and coordinates resources (staff, equipment, vendors and consultants) across one or more projects. Manages budget for assigned project(s), develops and monitors project/program plan(s), and adjusts resources and priorities accordingly. Aligns business unit, technical development and support organizations. Establishes program communication plan across the businesses, regions, support and technology groups. Prepares and presents progress reports for senior management.
Project Manager Responsibilities
Solid understanding of various program and project details, manage project schedule, budget and scope Identifies, assesses, tracks and manages project level risks Identifies and drives resolution of project issues
Monitors and reports project status (includes variance reporting - schedule, effort, budget).
Identify and manage cross departmental dependencies and provide recommendations to integrate efforts where needed
Estimates effort/cost/schedule at the program level (includes project-level summary).
Schedules and assigns work at highest level of program
Identifies required resources & necessary skills for project-level tasks
Ensures project team members know and understand their roles and responsibilities.
Follow established policies and procedures that ensure the integrity and quality of program artifacts.
Central point-of-contact for overall change control (cost/schedule/effort/scope).
Establish and facilitate project team meetings and management of Project Governance meetings
Qualifications
· College degree, specialized training or equivalent work experience
· 5 - 7 years experience of combined business and project management experience
· Experience with projects spanning multiple lines of business
· Experience with business process mapping
· Experience managing geographically distributed and diverse work-groups
· Experience managing multiple concurrent projects
· 5 or more years experience of highly proficient management software skills
· Must be comfortable speaking and presenting to small to medium size audiences, including senior management
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to develop strong client and working relationships with the team
