Technology Operations Manager Job Details

Role Summary/Purpose

Reporting to the Engineering Manager Smart Substations, the Operations Manager will drive and report out on the execution of the NPI Deck, including schedule, risk, quality and financial status. The position will also manage and deploy the central service team resource, as demand requires, ensuring successful program execution

Essential Responsibilities

·Drive program execution and ensure milestones / financial targets are met
·Work with product management to ensure product scope is clearly defined
·Coordinate with the GE DE Operations team wrt overall milestone / metric status
·Create and maintain a high level schedule for the complete NPI Deck
·Ensure the NPI deck and marketing requirements are in synch
·Coordinate with the manufacturing team to ensure smooth transition on new products
·Ownership of the monthly engineering review slide deck
·Ensure program risk is identified and abated
·Manage scope changes and associated program impact
·Ensure the development process is adhered too
·Employee performance management

Qualifications/Requirements

·Engineering degree
·10+ years experience on managing product development
·Strong financial planning and organization skills
·Experience in strategic planning
·Strong communication skills
·Flexible and adaptable: Open to change and modification of tasks.
·Ability to work well in a team environment and share ideas.
·Proactive approach to tasks - displays initiative.

Desired Characteristics

·MBA or Masters in technology management
·PMP certified
·6 Sigma Green belt
·Experience in industrial control products
