Position Description
The ERM function is hiring for a Reporting Manager position in New York.

The ERM Vice President will be part of the ERM Governance and Reporting function in the Operational Risk Department, with responsibility for managing the core group activities that touch multiple functional areas across the Firm.  Responsibilities will include the following:

• Management of all regular reporting deliverables, including regular reporting processes and report production
• Partnering with, and influencing as necessary, subject matter experts and information providers
• Monitoring governance action items and working towards efficient  and timely resolutions
• Communicating and coordinating with embedded reporting groups in each of the Risk Management functions
• Contribution to ad-hoc regulatory requests that span the disciplines within the Risk Department
• Communicating and coordinating with FHC Project Management Office, including assisting with review of MII status reports
• Qualitative and quantitative assessment and analysis of risk issues
• Management of ad-hoc presentations for executive leadership on risk management and remediation activities captured through ERM or the MII portfolio
• Implementation of formalized processes for all regular reporting
• Oversight for supporting team members, fostering their career growth and expanding knowledge base
• Integration of reporting content from across the Risk Department to create a coherent message for consolidated and strategic reporting to senior management and the Board of Directors

The role requires the candidate to have effective communication skills and an understanding of risk management fundamentals.  A successful candidate will be expected to convey information in an accurate and timely manner, work constructively across the Firm’s risk management functions and to provide thoughtful and comprehensive analysis of information received. 

The candidate will be required to perform the following types of activities:

Reporting
 Produce accurate and timely reports
 Publish content in-line with Firm or committee standards
 Contribute to analysis of risk content within reports
 Execute regular and ad hoc processes to keep the ERM reporting function running smoothly
 Track and report status on cross-divisional programs
 Publish schedules and reports to core clients and senior management audiences
 Propose (and implement) additional content and process improvements for Firm and Board-level risk reporting
 Perform regular and ad hoc reporting tasks
 Assist in strategic efforts to broaden the impact of ERM reporting
 Communicate reporting concepts to department and functional area senior management

Communication
 Develop an effective network of relationships across different functional areas
 Collaborate effectively with reporting teams across the Risk Department
 Interact with the FHC Project Management office and Compliance to ensure coordination on reporting deliverables
 Manage workload and deliverables of supporting team members

Skills Required
Required
 Six to Ten years risk management experience
 Experience working in a risk management or risk analysis function
 Keen attention to detail
 Highly organized
 Ability to work under pressure and within tight delivery timeframes
 Excellent presentation skills  -  written, verbal and graphic communication
 Strong analytic and problem solving skills; ability to learn quickly and solve poorly defined problems
 Ability to deal with ambiguity and adjust work methods to multiple demands and shifting priorities
 Capability to approach problems as challenges and deal with them constructively
 Ability to work constructively in a consensus-driven organization
 Fluency with all MS Office tools, including PowerPoint, Excel, Project, Access, and Visio
 Bachelors Degree and an interest in career development

Skills Desired
Preferred
 Prior experience with reporting production or consulting
 Understanding and familiarity with financial services – front office and infrastructure
 Understanding of risk metrics
 Awareness of regulatory landscape and processes
