Risk Measurement and Management Business Area is currently looking for a Europe Equity Derivatives Risk Manager to join the team in London
     
    ROLE SUMMARY:
This position is within the Global Equities team within the Market Risk Group within Credit Suisse. The candidate will be required to support the Equities business area globally with specific responsibility for Europe Equity Derivatives Trading.
    .
    THE ROLE INVOLVES:
Responsibilities include:
• Leading a team of 4-5 risk analysts covering the Equity Derivatives business in Europe. Responsibility for ensuring that risk capture is complete and accurate, and that risks are fully understood and highlighted.
• Review of exceptional new trades, particularly complex or unusual exotic structures and providing recommendations on approval of such trades.
• Carrying out deep-dive reviews into portfolios to ensure that complex risks are captured and appropriate stress testing and other controls are in place.
• Working with Market Risk methodology team in developing and reviewing risk methodology used for VAR / other risk models.
• Liaison with other teams within Market Risk (e.g. Model Validation, Methodology) and with other departments throughout the firm (particularly Front Office Trading / Modelling and Product Control).

    TO QUALIFY YOU MUST POSSESS:
• Significant experience working in a risk management or trading role, including management experience.
• Degree in Maths, Finance or other quantitative discipline highly likely although not essential.
• Strong derivatives product knowledge including Exotics.
• Understanding of VaR and other risk measurement frameworks.
• Excellent Excel spreadsheet and systems skills.
• Detailed knowledge of equity markets and financial markets in general.
• Strong communication skills – ability to summarise complex information clearly both verbally and in writing.
