Job Description Ttile: Corporate Treasury - Liquidity Risk Management - Associate - London Role Purpose:
* Corporate Treasury is responsible for the Funding and Liquidity risk management of the organisation worldwide. The EMEA team is centrally managing from London Funding and Liquidity for all UK and Continental Europe entities (Bank and Non Bank). * Activity extends over 20 different legal entities and 50+ currencies and markets. The EMEA Liquidity Risk framework is rapidly evolving following market events. * Working in the Front Office, to help build out and operate day to day the processes and procedures around Liquidity Risk management in EMEA * Treasury business has many day to day interactions with LOB's and other corporate groups to help explain liquidity and treasury policies and provide staff with a good understanding of the corporate treasury function and role on its current and planned activities.
Priorities:
* FSA Liquidity and Global Liquidity project delivery for EMEA Corporate Treasury * Daily review of Liquidity Risk Management reports . * Challenge any data quality issues or unexpected movements * Day to day co-ordination between Treasury , Line of Business Front and Middle Office groups in EMEA businesses and other European offices, Regulatory Reporting * Interaction with New York Liquidity Risk group to establish consistent global practices and support Corporate wide reporting and initiatives
Key Objectives Key Outputs:
* Daily and Monthly Reporting requirements for Treasury, and other internal liquidity risk committee's * Provide Treasury analysis supporting EMEA Treasurer sign-off of key internal and external Liquidity Risk reporting * Legal Entity Liquidity policies and Contingency Funding Plans * Liquidity Stress testing implementation and execution
Relationships:
* Reports to Liquidity Risk Manager EMEA * Develops relationships with key contacts in Lines of Business and Regional offices to understand liquidity drivers in EMEA * Works with Finance Technology , Finance Operations and chosen system vendor globally to define, test and build a new global Liquidity Risk Management system to meet business needs
Qualifications Qualifications Technical Skills & Knowledge:
* Good knowledge of financial markets and instruments * Risk and control management * Ability to research and gather information from a variety of sources * Advanced user in Excel * Excellent written and communication skills * Teamwork, partnerships with other LOB's
Experience:
* Background in working within a regulatory/financial reporting environment * Good level of knowledge across a range of finance or operations functions
Competencies:
* Ability to articulate complex issues in a clear and concise manner * Highly numeric with attention to detail * Clear and concise written and oral communication skills * Ability to work to deadline pressures
