COMPANY: Chase TITLE: Vice President, Sr. Programmer/Data Analyst (level commensurate with skills and qualifications) LOCATION: Columbus, Ohio RESPONSIBILITIES: As a member of Consumer Risk Modeling and Analytics team, the incumbent will be responsible for providing SAS programming support for Consumer Banking and Business Banking risk modeling and analytics activities. Specific responsibilities include, (i) managing and maintaining analysis data for credit score development and implementation (ii) developing automated process for data extraction and risk model execution (iii) performing data analysis related to predictive model development and validation (iv) processing large scale transaction level data and creating summary attributes for credit and fraud modeling and analytics (v) designing and developing automated modeling tools and data utilities using SAS macros The person may be called upon to work with Data Warehouse, IT and/or Scoring Implementation Teams in establishing appropriate technical solutions for maintaining historical data needed for modeling and/or updating metadata definitions to support credit risk analytics. REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: The position will report directly to SVP/ Senior Risk Modeling Manager in CRMA but the individual will be working in a project oriented environment and deliver results working with other managers of the team in a matrix organization. EDUCATION: The incumbent should have at least a Bachelors of Science in a field that provides a strong background in computer programming and/or data management skills. o Minimum of 5 years of experience in SAS programming with demonstrated ability in applying advanced SAS tools and scoring solutions for risk management applications o Experience in database management, including exposure to Oracle tools and SQL o Familiarity with bureau data and consumer risk measures such as delinquency, loss, debt to income, loan to value ratios etc. o Demonstrated ability to perform large scale data processing involving complex customer relationships across different financial products o SAS expertise in both mainframe and the UNIX environment. o Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. o Self managed with good project organization and execution skills to handle multiple projects with competing priorities in a matrix environment |
