My client is a bank seeking a Chief Risk Officer (CRO). CRO will develop and coordinate the measurement and assessment of operational and financial risk management strategies and implementation plans for the bank. Will also manage the credit policy and regulatory / Sarbanes-Oxley compliance functions. CRO will also provide recommendations to executive management and Board of Directors on financial risk management strategies.
Ideal candidate will have 10+ years of related banking or financial regulatory experience involving interest rate risk, liquidity, credit and operational risk management issues and practices with 5 years of management/supervisory experience.
Broad based knowledge of the capital markets with derivatives, valuation and credit risk experience desired.
Bachelor's degree with finance/accounting or business-related major is required. MBA/MS is preferred.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills required along with ability to work under pressure and deal with all levels of the organization. |
