General Summary
Provides service support to a team (Client Executive, Sales Professional and Marketer where applicable) relating to the development and servicing of insurance brokerage and risk management accounts.
Essential Functions:
• Assists team by handling routine inquires and transactions concerning clients. • With supervision, assists Client Executive, Sales Professional or Marketer in developing underwriting specifications, preparing proposals, insurance summaries, reports and correspondence. • Under the direction of the Client Executive, prepares and maintains client prospect system. • Prepares and maintains summary client insurance summaries under supervision of the Client Executive. • Inputs information into policy management system. • Coordinates and reviews billing and invoice materials, prepares invoices and certifications. • Prepares spreadsheets and other documents to support analysis of accounts. • May accompany Client Executives on routine client visits to observe the insurance brokerage process and may participate in group presentations where appropriate. • Complies with Marsh Excellence and Professional Standards to ensure quality service to all clients.
* Applies understanding of energy industry risks when providing general advice to clients * Explains energy related insurance terms to clients * Conducts detailed review of policy wordings and coverages, identifying irregularities, omissions, or errors and able to make necessary revisions according to client needs.
Qualifications
* • Post secondary education or equivalent work experience, with a minimum of 5 to 7 years general office experience (preferably with an insurance, legal, financial services or professional services company). • Holds or will obtain appropriate licensing. • Has an understanding of basic property/casualty insurance principals and basic understanding on claim handling/procedures. • Good PC skills with proficiency in email, word processing and spreadsheet software as well as working knowledge of presentation software. • Good verbal and written communication skills. • Results oriented with a strong customer service focus. • Ability to work independently or within a team-based environment. • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities. * Previous experience working within an energy related field. * Working knowledge of local and global insurance markets, particularly European markets and Lloyds of London. * Understanding of European financial practices and principles. * Demonstrated ability toward understanding technicalities in underwriting clauses and wordings. * Understanding of energy industry terminology.
