This function is responsible for ensuring there is a strong control environment in place to ensure all activities that can influence the reported Market (and Credit) Risk exposures are monitored, controlled and reported appropriately.
As part of the Investment Bank Middle Office, this function aims to be the primary point of contact between the Credit Risk, Market Risk, Valuation Control Groups and the Business for all risk related issues.
 
Key Responsibilites:

    * Investigation of anomalies in traded risk exposures by interaction with multiple front office, middle office and technology departments;
    * data analysis
    * Reporting to senior management
    * New product analysis
    * On-going process review and development
    * Ad-hoc project work.

This function is also involved in coordinating and drafting the business reporting requirements and helps drive the delivery of these requirements with the relevant IT teams.
The team is also responsible for the Reg K function for the Asia region. This will involve collating/generation of strict limit reports, with regular liaison with traders, and colleagues in other regions. The team may also operate on a roster for early/late coverage.
 
There is potential for an individual with limited Risk Management experience to pursue this role if they are highly motivated to learn and develop their skills.
Qualifications
Skills & Experience:

    * Analytical, problem solving mindset with a high attention to detail.
    * Initiative, timeliness, able to work autonomously.
    * Comfortable communicating with multiple groups, from traders to IT teams.
    * Excellent knowledge of financial markets products combined with experience involving the analysis of traded risk exposures.
    * Experience in a risk management capacity ideally in a front or middle office environment is highly desirable although not essential.
    * Solid Understanding of the concepts underlying generally accepted market and credit risk principles.
    * Equity Derivatives product knowledge.
    * Intermediate MS Access/Excel skills and VBA Programming is highly desirable
