Senior Director of Compliance - Loan Acquisition and Servicing

As Senior Director of Compliance, responsible for loan acquisition and servicing, you will provide expertise and compliance support to our Single Family and Multifamily businesses, working closely with management to develop and implement specialized training programs and other initiatives to ensure an environment that embraces quality and regulatory fulfillment.

 

Primary functions include:

  • Determining how to use resources to meet schedules and goals
  • Getting involved in the vetting of proposed transactions, with an understanding of internal guidelines and outside regulatory requirements to mitigate risk
  • Acting as advisor and mentor to subordinates to meet schedules, resolve technical issues and achieve established objectives
  • Applying data and situation analysis to resolve a wide range of diverse issues
  • Developing and administering schedules, performance requirements, section/department activity coordination and, in some cases, budgets

  

Our ideal candidate...

...possess in-depth knowledge of consumer lending laws (e.g., Truth in Lending, the Real Estate Settlement and Procedures Act, Fair Lending Laws), as well as experience with mortgage servicing, loan modifications and REO disposition. Minimum qualifications include:

  • 8-10 years' related experience (5 years of underwriting experience and/or compliance controls background with a banking regulator, financial institution or consulting firm preferred)
  • 2+ years' management experience
  • Sound judgment and excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree (JD degree or CRCM certification preferred)

 

The hired candidate must be a U.S. citizen and lawful permanent resident.
