As Senior Director of Compliance, Capital Markets, you'll set the strategic direction for and lead our Investment & Capital Markets Division (I&CM) compliance team.  You will also oversee the execution and management of the compliance program as well as serve as the principal subject matter expert on legal compliance and requirements that pertain to the unique legal and regulatory requirements of Freddie Mac.

 

Other key functions include:

  • Vetting of proposed transactions to ensure they comply with internal guidelines and outside regulatory requirements
  • Working with management to establish an appropriate compliance culture, including development of training programs
  • Establishing and ensuring adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans and performance requirements
  • Interacting, on a regular basis, with senior management on matters concerning functional areas, divisions and/or customers

  

Our ideal candidate...

...will have specialized knowledge of compliance functions for a debt and asset-backed securities issuer that maintains and manages a sizable and sophisticated fixed income portfolio, as well as:

  • Demonstrated experience dealing with investment management, risk management and securities trading professionals
  • Preferably, a J.D. and familiarity with implementation of information barriers (sometimes called Information Walls)
  • Strong communication skills and exceptional ability to create and maintain relationships across the company

 

The hired candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
