General Summary:
The Senior Risk Consultant - Workers Compensation/Safety is responsible for supporting national sales and service delivery including; consultative client solicitation, product development, presentations, diagnostics, problem solving, analytics and managing customer service.
 
Essential Functions:

    * Direct analysis of client needs and develop project work plans,
    * Deliver special consulting services around workers compensation risk mitigation/cost reduction and health and safety program strategies,
    * Coordinate service delivery and claims data analysis and development of subsequent client risk reduction strategies
    * Assist with the implementation of sales plans, including consultative sales (capabilities presentation, discovery, and needs assessment), coordination of new business development opportunities, and participation in special projects as required.
    * Develop presentations, proposals, and work plans and deliver in an appropriate manner.
    * Monitor competitor and industry activities and trends
    * Attend industry functions and coordinate informal meetings
    * Expeditiously and diplomatically resolve all client concerns
    * Meet regularly with clients and maintain detailed records of client meetings
    * Provide support to marketing and division managers
    * Manage performance and service delivery
    * Accurate portrayal of time and expense accounts

Qualifications
 

    * Relevant Bachelor's degree or College degree/diploma.
    * Minimum of 5 years industry and / or consulting experience.
    * Business development experience an asset, ideally having broad exposure in WCB and employer settings in a variety of duties including claims adjudication, auditing, COR, PIR Program and/or vocation rehabilitation.
    * Consultative Sales acumen.
    * Sound working knowledge of Canadian Workers Compensation Systems, environment, regulations, etc.
    * Ability to solve problems and manage multiple priorities.
    * Practice builder with a focus on growth.
    * Strategic and analytical thinker.
    * Ability to make sound judgments.
    * Ability to interact effectively with clients.
    * Attention to detail.
    * Technical/Industry designations in complementary Health, Safety, Human Resources and Workers Compensation areas.
    * Bilingualism an asset.
    * Some travel required.
