Description Strategic Intent This role is responsible for the development/maintenance of Acquisition/Portfolio policies and benchmarking requirements for Credit Risk Mgmt - Unsecured products. The role will also provide analytical support to evaluate new initiatives & opportunities and to optimise Unsecured Products credit strategies from a risk/reward perspective. Accountabilities
* Improve market share (e.g. ANR growth strategies) through various acquisition and portfolio policy proposals & business initiatives * Validation of existing credit related strategies, policies and practices to identify customer behaviour and portfolio trends and recommending corrective actioning to arrest adverse trends * Provide support to business units (Collections, Credit Acceptance, Fraud, Compliance, Marketing) on tactical & strategic proposals * Provide support for new product launches as well as ongoing portfolio management strategies, which includes ad-hoc MIS & analytical reporting * Support the QA process and exception tracking. Assist in quarterly Compliance & Control (self-assessment) sampling / reviews / reporting process * Prepare system work requests for credit related changes and undertake UAT on proposed changes through to implementation * Ensure compliance to Global Credit Policies, exception limits, deviation approval management, and test caps * Foster superior working relationships with all stakeholders including senior management, IT, operational areas, and vendors and ensure that all Risk initiatives are transparent.
Qualifications
* Key Skills and Exerience
Technical
* Practical experience in SAS and SQL programming. * Advanced user of MS Excel and Access. * Exceptional numeracy skill * Knowledge of consumer banking products and related credit risk. * Relevant tertiary qualification. * Experience in related area is preferred.
Personal
* Team player with excellent interpersonal and team communication skills. * Excellent analytical and problem solving ability, with an eye for detail. * Ability to drive work from conception through to completion with minimum supervision with a "can do" attitude. * Strong communication skills, both verbal and written (Presenting technical information to non technical audience).
