THE COMPANY

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE

Based in Toronto and reporting to the Vice President, Enterprise Systems Development, the Software Developer is responsible for development in NumeriX Portfolio based on client and internal requirements.  Develops business and technical specifications, designs, codes, and performs unit testing.  Works independently with supervision.  Communicates with other team members as required.

EDUCATION

•    University degree in Computer Science/Engineering

COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS

•    Strong knowledge of C# and the .NET framework
•    Strong knowledge of object-oriented design and development
•    Knowledge of database concepts and MS SQL Server
•    Knowledge of user interface development principles and related Microsoft technologies (Forms, WPF)
•    Knowledge of all phases of the software development life cycle
•    Excellent communication skills
•    Knowledge of derivatives modeling and pricing concepts is an asset

WORK EXPERIENCE

•    Minimum three (3) years industry experience as a Software Developer
•    Experience developing multithreaded, distributed, n-tier applications
•    Experience developing software using Microsoft .NET and Visual Studio 2005/2008
•    Experience developing derivatives pricing or risk management applications is an asset
