Job Description:

Primary responsibilities:

Working closely with all global software engineering teams, the Build and Tools Engineer is responsible for the development, maintenance and execution of the software build and release system from end-to-end, from code integration to compilation to the creation of the installation package.  In addition, the Build and Tools Engineer will be responsible for additional utilities and scripts in the software development lifecycle.
 Duties include:

    * Support, enhance and consolidate our product build systems for our layered architecture
    * Develop and maintain our installation packaging technology for our products
    * Develop scripts for reports and metrics around the build and release process
    * Support and enhance our source control and defect tracking systems
    * Develop additional scripts and utilities as required by software development
    * Assist with testing of NumeriX products as required

Experience and skills required:

5 – 7 years experience working for a software vendor or IT department as a Build and Tools or Release Engineer. This experience must include the following:

    * Experience with Windows and UNIX/LINUX
    * Experience with C++ and .NET development environments and build automation tools (Visual Studio, make, ant, nant, shell scripts, etc.)
    * Experience with Microsoft’s installer (MSI) technology
    * Knowledge of configuration management and general software development tools
    * Ability to interface with development team
    * Detail oriented and the ability to multi-task
    * Excellent communication and organizational skills
    * Bachelors degree in Computer Science
    * Knowledge or interest in finance or financial derivative products a plus
    * Knowledge of C++, C#, Java and Python programming will be an added plus.

Experience may be gained concurrently.
